waste water

Wherever water is being used by the industry, this results in waste water being produced. Waste water must be purified before it can be recycled or discharged to any surface water. However, waste water purification is almost never among the core activities of the producers of that waste water. They increasingly prefer to contract this work out to companies who are specialised in this field.

Evides Industriewater treats the industrial waste water of a large number of industrial companies.

In the district of The Hague, Evides treats the household waste water of more than 1 million people. The new WWTP Harnaschpolder is the biggest municipal waste water treatment plant of The Netherlands and heas been developed as part of a PPP (Public Private Partnership; see link to Delfluent at the bottom of the screen). In cooperation with a foreign partner Evides operates this plant as well as its sister-plant WWTP Houtrust since 2006 for a period of 30 years.
