household waste water

Even if treatment of waste water is among an organisation’s core activities (as is the case with water quality boards), the costs of this activity can surge to an extent where outsourcing becomes a real option. These considerations have led to Evides (jointly with several partners) entering into a long-term agreement in 2004 with the Delfland District Water Board for the treatment of household waste water in the districts of The Hague and Delft. What makes this project unique is that the Delfland District Water Board has outsourced the implementation of the largest sewage treatment plant in The Netherlands by means of a DBFO contract.

This project is The Netherlands’ largest Public/Private Partnership project in the field of household water treatment until now. Evides is responsible for design, construction (and renovation) and subsequent operation of two sewage treatment plants with a total capacity of 1.7 million population equivalents.
