DBFO

Tailor-made demands request tailor-made solutions. Supply of water-on-demand and treatment of waste water in such cases generally are based on so-called DBFO (Design Build Finance & Operate) contracts. The consequence is that Evides Industriewater not only supplies the know-how, but develops the water treatment plant on behalf of and to specifications of its client as well. From design to construction and from financing to full operation. This results to its clients of the avoidance of any investments on their part in activities considered as non-core. As a counter effort the clients commit to long-term purchase of water and/or supply of waste water at contractually fixed prices. In this manner Evides Industriewater takes over the water treatment from its clients in a forecastable and reliable way.

This leads to a win-win situation for both parties to the contract:

  • Engineering integrity All designs of Evides Industriewater are based on standards typical to the principles and practices used in the (petro-)chemical industry (e.g. redundancy, safety, operational reporting, data logging).
  • Contractual liability Evides Industriewater boasts an excellent safety record and operational track-record: during the last 15 years we havenĀ“t experienced any contractual non-conformity (except for situations of force majeure such as central power cuts). This means that our clients can rely on our operational commitment in order to achieve 24/24 and 365/yr compliance of quality and quantity performance indicators.
  • Financial incentives The first and utmost goal of Evides Industriewater is to achieve operational stability, however, with an aim at continuously optimising the operation. This results in financial savings which we are willing to share with our clients.
  • Technological innovation Evides Industriewater actively engages in technology innovation through various cooperation schemes with Dutch and European universities and research institutes. Continuous innovation (partly by means of research, pilot plant tests, training of staff) aims at improving the stability of the operation as well as reducing operational costs. However, our full-scale plants are based on process designs that include proven technologies only. Risks are mitigated by cooperating with world-class technology suppliers.
