energy sector

While electricity and water don’t match, they do relate to each other. The total production capacity of electricity in the Netherlands amounts to approximately 90 million MWh. This production involves the usage of 10,500 million m³ of water per year, mainly for cooling purposes. However, a substantial amount of water is being used for the production of ultra-pure (polished) water, which in turn is being used as boiler feed water for the production of high-pressure steam.
Evides Industriewater produces both the ground product (industry water) and the upgraded product (demineralised and distilled water) and supplies these to the energy companies.
