Evides Industriewater currently is constructing a demi-water plant for Yara at Sluiskil in the far south of the Netherlands (capacity: 375 m3 per hour). The construction is in full swing.
In October 2007 Evides Industriewater and Yara Sluiskil BV signed an agreement for supply of demi-water, a subsidiary of Norwegian “Yara International ASA” (part of Norsk Hydro).
The agreement encompasses a 12-year DBFO-contract, that includes the construction of a demi-plant and a condensate polishing plant. Evides Industriewater is responsible for design, engineering, financing and construction of this plant. In addition to replacing the existing, old demi-plant of Yara, the new plant takes into account an increased demand of demi-water by Yara. By outsourcing water treatment to Evides, Yara can focus its full attention to its core-business: production of ammonia, nitric acid, urea, fertilizer and Ad-Blue (a product for injection in catalysts of lorries).
The new plant will make use of two feed sources: ground water from our Evides-site Sint Jansteen in combination with river water from our holding basins at Biesbosch. This allows for high reliability and stability of production.
The new plant is scheduled to be commissioned in the summer of 2009.
