Evides Industriewater supplies Abengoa Bioenergy Netherlands B.V. with Brielsemeer water

12/08/2008 09:00

In July Abengoa signed an agreement with Evides Industriewater B.V. for a 10 year contract for supply of Brielsemeer water and industry water. Abengoa, the first Bioethanol production facility in the Port of Rotterdam, will treat the Brielsemeer water themselves to utilise it as process water. The start up of the Bioethanol planned is scheduled for the autumn of 2009.

In order to facilitate the supply to Abengoa, Evides Industriewater has purchased the Brielsemeer pumping station of MICRO Chemie. By doing this Evides acquired the last remaining Brielsemeer pumping station that was not in their property yet.
Besides Abengoa Evides will use this pumping station to supply MICRO Chemie as well as Welplaat B.V. The supply to these companies have been formalised in long term supply agreements.
In order to comply with the engineering standards of Evides Industriewater B.V. and their Operations philosophy the pumping station will be refurbished and upgraded so it can be integrated with the Process Automation system of Evides.
